Glass
Series:Still Life
Size:9x12
Medium:Oil on linen
I started this painting after listening to the endless news about the economic disaster we are in, and thinking about the struggles my company is having. So I wondered, if the glass is full, but impossible to drink, is it half full or empty? I wasted a few glasses of wine to setup the painting so i could see what an upside down glass of wine looks like. I will need to drink the rest of the bottle quickly before it goes bad.

Andrey Doronin says:
This is very good painting! There are the united color gamma is very professionally, interesting composition and fine mood for the rest here!

Bill Caspare says:
I like the composition very much. The colors are warm and soothing, unlike the current mood around this economic climate. Too bad you had to waste good wine.

could use a glass of that myself says:
it's interesting that when the glass is upside down the eye doesn't read "upside down glass ... with wine IN it? huh?" the eye reads "strangely shaped wine vessel." I had to look at it a lot before I saw it was an upside down glass.

Jim says:
It's what is in (or not in) the glass that is important. I like the painting so much I bought it.
