Family
Series:Still Life
Size:9x12
Medium:Oil on linen
I got the idea from a poem my friend Natasha wrote, after we had been discussing old family photographs, and I wanted to paint about generational connectivity. The photos in the background are from 1967. My dad and I are both holding a pipe (my parents started me smoking young). A simpler time, for me at least. I primed this canvas, which let me get finer lines, a true pleasure.
