Since Art News hasn't written about me, I decided to paint about them. In this issue they ask 'Where is Art Going?', but since I only read it for the pictures, I don't know what the proper answer is. This painting incorporates various forms of art, high and low, although perhaps evolution provides the best art. Or, for the benefit of the Seattle Art Museum's docents, this painting might be all about sex. After all, isn't that salt shaker strategically placed and somewhat near a juicy peach? Background cloth is a bit more purply than shows in the photo. |
